EDD Social Proof Notifications Setup Instructions
Step 1: Install the Plugin
- Download the EDD Social Proof Notifications plugin ZIP file.
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New.
- Click Upload Plugin, then select the ZIP file and click Install Now.
- Once installed, click Activate to enable the plugin.
Step 2: Configure the Plugin Settings
- Navigate to Settings > EDD Social Proof in the WordPress dashboard.
- Adjust the following settings to customize the notifications:
- Display Time (seconds): How long each notification appears.
- Notification Delay (seconds): Time between each notification.
- Background Color: Set the notification background color.
- Text Color: Choose the text color for better visibility.
- Click Save Changes to apply your custom settings.
Step 3: Verify Notifications Are Working
- Make a test purchase in your Easy Digital Downloads store.
- Check if the purchase notification appears on the front end.
- Refresh the page to see older notifications load dynamically.
Additional Notes:
- The plugin automatically fetches recent purchases every 60 seconds via AJAX.
- If no notifications appear, ensure you have recent completed purchases in EDD > Payment History.
- If needed, clear your cache or try in an incognito/private browsing window.
